Ulrich Knoepflmacher, ‘towering scholar’ of Victorian fiction, poetry and children’s literature, dies at 95

Knoepflmacher's research interests included Victorian literature and culture, English and American children’s books, 19th-century poetry and the English novel. He was among the first to recognize the scholarly value of children’s literature.
